After I visited the country during a Tech conference in 2018, I realized this was a perfect place for me and my family to live in one day.

Dave Leiderman had been planning on moving to Portugal and incorporating his business in the country for a while. After a short but quite productive visit in 2018, he realized it had everything he was looking for in a new home:

The people are friendly, and you can easily integrate as most of the Portuguese speak English at a very proficient level. On a business point of view, it is ideal for Dave as the labour is cost effective in comparison to other countries, and on a personal side he could truly see his wife and kids creating beautiful memories in this country, even if it was very far and different from home.

Moving to a new country can be overwhelming - but the timing was right - his kids were young, and both of them longed for adventure, and the seed had been planted in the family. Everyone was ready to take this step.

Education was a big concern, and after talking to moviinn, Dave found out there were great international schools in Portugal that would get his kids perfectly prepared for their future.

He had only been to Lisbon, and Porto - and he already knew the latter would better fit his business. It was closer to industries that were relevant for his company, and highly skilled workforce was also abundant in the region.

Besides, his wife loved the elegance and charm of the city - and he could really see themselves living by the Douro river and enjoying all that Porto had to offer.
