British Master Student - Tanya's Journey to Portugal
Tanya Hughes, a 22-year-old from the UK, has always been a curious blend of creativity and strategy. While she completed her undergraduate degree in Marketing back home in England, she was also deeply passionate about the arts, from contemporary galleries to street murals, and late-night performances in tucked-away theatres.

That’s why her three-month summer internship in Lisbon wasn’t just a career move. It was a turning point.
Lisbon’s creative energy, its fusion of old-world charm with modern expression, completely captivated her. From wandering the halls of MAAT and Museu Coleção Berardo, to weekend sketching sessions in the Alfama district, Tanya felt more creatively alive than ever.
And she knew one thing for sure: she wasn’t ready to leave.
After forming a small professional network and feeling increasingly at home in the local creative community, Tanya made a bold decision - to return to Lisbon and enroll in a Master’s in Marketing at Universidade de Lisboa.

But with moviinn’s help, things felt manageable from the beginning. They found me a great apartment near my university and helped with everything from the lease to getting my NIF, opening a bank account and most importantly, the visa."
